Everyone has seen the Lenten version of our chocolate crown of thorns. Well, here is our Easter version. An instrument of the crucifixion transformed into a spring bird’s nest. That’s what Easter is all about. You can top a cake with it, or simply use it as a centerpiece. Catholic Cuisine has some smaller nests complete with peeps!

Ha! A “real life” friend! I was SO excited when I found they had updated the candle art for this year. I tried to do it myself – yuk! Staying up late is a bad habit at our house. We all do it. When I saw you had opened the Linky I figured it was one less thing to do this morning! Can’t wait to check out all the party goers Easter goodies.

Hello! I am just now having a chance to go through the links at Catholic Icing and I wanted to tell you I love the crown of thorns/nest idea! My son is on a high fiber diet and I found a recipe on bettycrocker.com showing how to make something similar using high fiber cereal and I really want to try it this week. Thanks for the great idea!
