Lisa Johnston, at the St. Louis Review, sent me a link today for this lovely podcast, that she had a hand in, about the importance of praying for the dead.

The podcast features Benedictine Father Bede Price, rector of the Oratory of Sts. Gregory and Augustine in West County St. Louis.

Accompanied by chanted prayers from a Requiem mass by the Benedictine Schola choir of the Abbey of St. Mary and St. Louis, Fr. Bede explains why prayers for the dead are essential to our Catholic faith.
