We just got back from a Greater St. Louis Archaeological Society meeting that featured a lecture by Don Booth, Senior Archaeologist at SCI Engineering, Inc. Booth spoke about recent excavations at the Poag Site, an Archaic Site in Central Illinois. It was very interesting and wonderful for anyone with an interest in the archaeology of Missouri and Illinois.
There are lots of archaeological events planned for September 2009. Don’t miss the St. Louis/St Charles Artifact Show, Saturday, October 17, 8 – 3 pm at the Heart of St Charles Banquet Center.

This year we are studying Archaeology for 10th grade science.
