’cause Saturday is the run for the roses!
This is THE sporting event of the year for my family, and it also means mint juleps made with fresh mint from our garden. Here’s our recipe for a perfect julep:
2 ounces Kentucky bourbon
1 ounce simple syrup
4-5 fresh mint leaves
Muddle mint leaves. Add all ingredients to a julep glass (tall & chilled) with crushed ice. Mix with a bar spoon in an up and down motion. Garnish with a long mint sprig and enjoy!
