In 2001 we had an opportunity to meet and talk with Jane Russell. As we waited, we wondered if we would recognize her. We had seen lots of her old movies with Gentlemen Prefer Blondes being one of our favorites. Well, when she walked in the room, there was no mistaking that it was her. She was still a glamorous Hollywood star, bigger than life, and the nicest and most personable lady. She even autographed the VHS sleeve of our copy of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and told us a few behind-the-scenes stories about the movie. Personally, I think gentlemen prefer brunettes. RIP, Jane.
