Prayer for the beatification and canonization of John Paul II God our Father, you reward all who believe in you. May your servant, John Paul our Pope, vicar of Peter and Shepherd of your Church, who faithfully administered the mysteries of your forgiveness and love on earth, rejoice with you for ever in heaven. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen! |

Written in 1986, the year we married and started our own family, this rewrite puts focus where it belongs — the coming of Our Savior Jesus Christ.
