I am leading a Missouri Conservation Frontiers group at our homeschool co-op and we have reached our first achievement level. Because each of my 10 kids has earned 1000 points, they are now called Conservation Trackers and each received a cool Frontiers water bottle!
This program is offered by the Missouri Department of Conservation. I participated in this program when my older kids were small and we really enjoyed it. We also learned a lot about the natural resources of Missouri. My two youngest are in this group, and once again, we are having a great time. I highly recommend this program to anyone living in the state of Missouri.
Today we enjoyed the beautiful weather on a nature hike at Creve Couer Park. We spotted squirrel nests, bird nests, deer tracks, a snake, mallard ducks, a kingfisher, and more. Our next goal: the Conservation Explorer magnifying glass!
