April, is National Poetry Month. This poem was written by my daughter Ida. It was written shortly after she rescued Dodgy. This poor dog was a mess and a few months after we got him he lost most of his hair. If he hadn’t come to us I am sure he would be dead by now. Almost one year later, with all credit going to Ida, Dodgy is about 15 pounds heavier, and his numerous skin and coat afflictions are 99% gone!

Hello
I brought you home! I brought you home!
I’m calling you my own.
But is it true? I think that you
Have claimed ME as your own.
It’s fine with me. So fine with me.
I hold you in my heart.
And I will stay, I’ll always stay!
We’ll never ever part.
I needed you. You needed me
And now you’re at my side.
The things we’ll do! Just me and you.
I’m ready for the ride.
I love your face. You’ve kissed my face,
And now that you are mine,
I know that you – I KNOW it’s true…
You’re PERFECT by design!
We are, my friend, immortal friends
As I imagined so.
I feared that I’d just say good-bye,
But now I’ve said, “Hello!”

Easter A.
Ida,
You are a poet!
Evann, Ida is wonderful not just as a poet, but most of all for taking in Dodgy and making him her pet!
Love to you and your wonderful family!
P.s. I enjoyed the pictures of your beautiful girls in their ballet outfits captured as they were dancing elegantly and beautifully!
