I’m a little bit late, but January 26 was the 10th anniversary of Pope John Paul II’s visit to St. Louis. It was a beautiful sunny day as we watched the pope mobile go by on Lindell Avenue. We even made a cool Papal banner from a souvenir bandana with the official St. Louis Papal Visit logo on it. That banner still hangs in our schoolroom. It was a very exciting day and even 10 years later still very memorable.

That must have been such a special day!! I got the opportunity to go to the Holy Land and to Rome a year ago and I was able to see Pope Benedict from St. Peter’s Square for his Sunday blessing. Even though I could not see him up close, I was so moved!! Blessings!
