Good trip to the Antique Mall

I found this statue of St. Joan of Arc last week at an Antique Mall. I frequent the Mall on a weekly basis as it is in the same strip mall as our dance studio. Of course, not everything in the Antique Mall is an antique. It’s more of a glorified thrift store/garage sale. But, there are some real finds to be had. For several months I have thought to myself, “I am going to find some cool religious statues here,” as that is not really what the customers are looking for. Bingo! Statues of Joan of Arc are not very common. This one is some kind of metal and stands about 14″ tall. Joan is my Mom’s name, my Confirmation name, my oldest daughter’s Confirmation name, and my third daughter’s middle name. She has a good home with us.
