Welcome to the 2024 Virtual St. Joseph Altar

What is the Virtual St. Joseph Altar?

  • The Virtual St. Joseph Altar, which made its online debut in February of 1999, is set up in the tradition of the Sicilian St. Joseph Altars of New Orleans.
  • During the month leading up to the March 19th Feast Day, visitors have the opportunity to place virtual offerings on the Altar. There is no charge to do anything at the Virtual St. Joseph Altar!
  • Visitors can also make prayer requests. These are open year ’round. As you visit the Altar and the other pages of this site, I ask you to pray for all who have made prayer requests.
  • The Virtual St. Joseph Altar is now in its 26th year!

The 2024 Virtual St. Joseph Altar is now open and accepting virtual offerings.

Make prayer requests and pray for others. Open year ’round.

Updates, news, and items related to St. Joseph all year long.

2023 Recap & Thanks

It’s hard to believe the Virtual St. Joseph Altar has been online for 25 years! During the month of March 2023, the Altar had over 4000 visitors and 115 offerings. Visitors hailed from the U.S., Canada, the U.K., India, Philippines, Australia, Thailand, France, Ireland, and Chile. Virtual St. Joseph Altar Facebook and Instagram activity was at an all-time high. I thank all who participated, making this such a worthy honor to St. Joseph.

In addition to the 3d Virtual St. Joseph Altar craft, the coloring pages were a big hit this year. Always get the little ones involved so they can learn about this lovely St. Joseph Altar tradition.

Because of your continued prayers & support, the Altar gets bigger and better each year! Donations of $25 or more will receive a digital copy of Viva San Giuseppe: A guide for Saint Joseph Altars. This booklet contains a brief history of the St. Joseph Altar, recipes, prayers and more. This little out-of-print publication, in digital PDF format, is my gift to you.

Thank you for these 25 years, and for continuing to spread devotion to St. Joseph.

Viva San Giuseppe!
