Make the most of the Lenten season with\u00a0prayer, fasting, almsgiving, and, hopefully, some of the projects and activities below:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/thankevann.com\/homeschoolgoodies\/?p=4974\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lenten Lapbooks<\/a> are a great hands-on project for younger kids&#8217; journey through Lent. Be creative and customize for each student.<\/li>\n<li>Color and add this printable <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sjtb.org\/releducolor.html#stationsbooklet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Stations of the Cross booklet<\/a> to your lapbook, or just tuck it in a pocket or purse.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/familyfeastandferia.files.wordpress.com\/2010\/02\/lent-for-children1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Family in Feast and Feria&#8217;s <em>Lent for Children: A Thought a Day<\/em> booklet<\/a> also makes a nice addition to any Lenten Lapbook.<\/li>\n<li>Stations of the Cross <a href=\"http:\/\/thankevann.com\/homeschoolgoodies\/?p=5017\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">votive candles<\/a> are a fun way to make the Stations at home with the family.<\/li>\n<li>Here&#8217;s a plan for listening to Matthew, Mark, Luke &amp; John using the <a href=\"http:\/\/thankevann.com\/homeschoolgoodies\/?p=6718\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Truth &amp; Life Dramatized Audio Bible<\/a>, but could easily be done by reading.<\/li>\n<li>Make a <a href=\"http:\/\/thankevann.com\/homeschoolgoodies\/?p=1995\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lenten milagros cross<\/a>. No limits on this project. Ours is\u00a0 quilted wall hanging.<\/li>\n<li>It&#8217;s that time of year. Make a <a href=\"http:\/\/thankevann.com\/homeschoolgoodies\/?p=1700\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">First Communion banner<\/a> with your child. We always gave it as a gift to our priest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" style=\"border: 1px solid black;\" src=\"http:\/\/thankevann.com\/hsg\/blogart\/lent\/lent1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"200\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\">A special day\u00a0for us in Lent is <strong>St. Joseph&#8217;s Day<\/strong>:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Get ready for St. Joseph&#8217;s Day and really get to know him by making a <a href=\"http:\/\/thankevann.com\/homeschoolgoodies\/?p=5103\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">St. Joseph Lapbook<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Make a visit to the <a href=\"http:\/\/thankevann.com\/stjoseph\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Virtual St. Joseph Altar<\/a> and learn all about the beautiful St. Joseph Altar tradition.
