But, this year, you&#8217;ll have to fight a full moon to get a good view.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/earthsky.org\/astronomy-essentials\/how-to-minimize-moon-and-optimize-2011-perseid-meteor-shower\">EarthSky.org<\/a> recommends the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Start watching now. Although the showers peak on August 13 you can still see plenty of showers if you are in a dark location.<\/li>\n<li>Watch on August 9 and 10 just before dawn as the moon will set a few hours before sunrise.<\/li>\n<li>No matter what day you watch, your best vewing time will be from about 2 a.m. till dawn.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Barring cloud cover, EarthSky touts before dawn on <a href=\"http:\/\/earthsky.org\/tonight\/best-view-of-perseid-meteors-could-be-before-dawn-august-10\">August 10<\/a> as <em>the<\/em> best viewing night.<\/p>\n<p>Can&#8217;t make the Perseids?
