Yet she was born with spina bifida and has very limited function from the waist down. She learned to walk with braces but prefers to use a wheelchair for distances. When she was 11, Kelsie met two Paralympians who introduced her to wheelchair racing\u2014and she was hooked. Kelsie shows her peers that athletes with disabilities are true athletes.
