{"id":3553,"date":"2009-07-21T21:00:50","date_gmt":"2009-07-22T02:00:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/thankevann.com\/homeschoolgoodies\/?p=3553"},"modified":"2020-09-12T17:16:07","modified_gmt":"2020-09-12T22:16:07","slug":"carmelite-day-2009","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/thankevann.com\/homeschoolgoodies\/?p=3553","title":{"rendered":"Carmelite Day 2009"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A day of prayer and fun with the Carmelites!<\/p>\n<p>For those in the St. Louis area, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.carmelitedcj.org\/\">Carmelite Sisters DCJ<\/a> will hold their 2nd annual Carmelite Day on Saturday,  August 29, from 8:45 am &#8211; 4 pm at the Carmelite Sisters residence, 10341 Manchester Road in Kirkwood. This retreat is for Catholic girls, age 14-16, who would like to spend some time getting to know the Carmelites and their way of life.<\/p>\n<p>The day will begin with Holy Mass at 9 am and will also include a talk by a Sister, time for prayer and reflection, recreation with the sisters, and time visiting with the residents at St. Agnes Home.<\/p>\n<p>Isabel and Maxine attemded last year and loved it.
